I\'m not guite sure of your meaning, or where \"West\" is for you, but if short, the European theater had the planes of the US Army Air Force. This included a wide variety of planes such as the Aircobra, Warhawk and P-47 Thunderbolt, which had the highest kill-to-loss ratio of the war. The Army plains could not operate off carriers, so the Pacific Theater was the territory of the US Navy aircraft, such as the \'cat series, the Avenger, the Corsair. In the latter part of the war, the USAAF started operating off captured islands in the Pacific and the USN put jeep carriers in the Atlantic.</HTML>
