<HTML>Has anyone seen the british movie \"A Twistof Sand\" based on te book of te same name by Geoff Jenkins ?
I saw it on T.V. , way bak in the 1970\'s - its ficion (But better than U-571 !!!!).Story line - a top secret german sub is being tested out of a remote costal area of Africa its sunk by a briish sub which ambushes her at a secret /remote anchorage , acting under orders hey kill te crew so as to make the germans believe that she was lost with all hands aaand the design should be abandined.
Years later the skipper of the british sub - down on is luck is contacted by his 1st officer who proposes they go back to the scene of the sinking to recover diamonds found by a mute german sailor who surive the sinking. (The poor german was mute due to his injuries/shock).A good adventure tale with the odd twist and double cross trown in, better than 571 nad perhaps more believeable.
