<HTML>I beleive the exterior shots used a Mock-up boat like U-571, however the boat in the film was a reasonable representation of a type II boat even the interior althogh uncluttered was believable. The movie will be a little disappointing after reading the book. The book was alot of fun. The film falls far short of the book and is really more a Sinatra film than an adventure movie. The exterior set was also later used in the Batman movie (1970\'s) as the Penguin\'s submarine.
