<HTML> steady boy!
let's not get to personal here! you jump from a discussion on hollywood to making a reference on the WTC tragedy! also you are talking about the fine series "band of brothers" and you reference bruce willis movies! in my opinion "band" is studio on the small unit scale. if easy company was to meet every brit, canadian, pole, and free french forces along the way wouldn't that be a cliche. it is about easy company. what easy company does(well did)! it is based on true accounts. for the most part ground units,no matter from what nation, did not have any idea what was going on in the area of operation they were in! not to mention on other fronts or campaigns. all they knew was what they could see taste or feel! all they knew was what was happening to "first squad"! for example they would not know that good ole monty was taking his time on caen. "first squad" of the u.s. army or 1st brit para. or polish independant reg. would just push on....push on ..and push on! that is what they had to do and that is what they did!
it is a series taken from book about one company! if esy didn't come across any brits then why show them....maybe that is your attempt at political correctness! i say tell the story as told by the men who know best...the men of easy company thru ambrose! if you wish to see "overlord" as a operation combining all the nations involved...watch "the longest day" an american production written by an irsihman. fine someone who can dispute the facts and circumstances in this film! also. you can see another fine film including several international units;" a bridge too far"! you can see what a wonderful plan good ole monty came up with here! he found a good way to deal with use of non-british troops! not to mention they way he hung the 1st brit. airborne out to dry!
