Hi, Meg-- glad you showed up! Didn't you say something about wanting to translate this? My German language skills are best characterized as "primitive"-- I can pull basic information out of biographical entries in the Thieme und Becker Allgemeines Kunstler Lexikon-- but that's as good as it gets. I was very curious about *Die Festung*, and was frustrated because I've not a prayer of reading it. It seems that opinions are mixed as to its cinematic possibilities, and it has already been turned down by one major German director.
