I believe I know the answer. Multiply the bore times the factor. The 18.1 inch rifles had a barrel length of 45 times their bore, hence a barrel length of 814.5" (67.8) feet. The USN used this nomenclature, as an example, a 5"X54 had a barrel length of 270" (22.5) feet.
