Hi Dan,
If I have understood your post correctly, I don't mind people commenting on the accuracy of a particular movie or tv programme whether they are fiction or factual. The point I was trying to make is that Ghostboat is really a ghost story and WWII was just the backdrop to the story. It wasn't based on any specific event during WWII and for the story to be told it didn't really matter if the sub used was of German or British design. In fact I have read the book by George E Simpson and Neal R Burger (not a bad read if anyones interested) and the story is set on a US boat called the Candlefish in the Pacific.
