The seller informs me that they have been seen by a specialist from chiswick auctions in london (Tom Sampson) and have further been black light tested as original. He has offered a full refund still if I am still not satisfied.

I hear you but these are far from good quality. Furthermore, they show genuine signs of age and wear and tear. If you try to peel the photo a fake should come apart with relative ease. There is an official russian archive stamp on the reverse but this could be easily reproduced. Yes although I am not sure as to whether he was too embarrassed or just made a mistake on those rather complicated toilets. There is also evidence to suggest that the leak may have occured after running into wreckage. flooding of the forward section left him with no alternative other than to surface.
