舞台がカリブ海に移るまでは非常にテンポも良く、一難去ってまた一難的なプロットの詰め込みが功を奏していたと思いますが、なぜか登場人物の行動に腑に落ちない部分が連発し始めるあたりで急激に萎えました。「狐たちの夜」よりも読み応えがありましたが、この分だとヒギンズの「鷲」越えは遠い先の話のように思えます。
最後まで理に適ったストーリー展開を通して欲しかったです。
本当に残念。
