Because this type were known japanese navy fun by fought against IJN in southwest area.
In particular typical exmple sinking IJN Asigara by HMS Trenchant.
On the other hand " Thetis incident " as known representative submarine incident.
The most interesting episode for me " submarine or gunboat ? ".
This episode emblematise of british navy at late stage WW2 against japan.
This book proved to be fascinating and informative: well-written, well-informed, readable and full of insights I needed including crew, accommodation, cramped conditions, etc. Many surprises including the short lives of these submarines even when they die a natural death.
I would tell anyone who enjoys the submarine services this is a rare find!
