- Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2021Great book on the submarines of the German navy. I picked them both up. I know that some Marines could barely dive to the depth of their length. Just curious on why the kriegsmarine U boats 1 and 2 do not list the operational diving depth of the submarines. Other books Imperial Japanese navy submarines British submarines in the US submarines all list operational diving depth. But these are still excellent books that make a great addition to your navel library

- Reviewed in the United States on September 22, 2013This is a continuation of the same title (1) and focus on the subs of middle and final war stage.
The book is good for reference and consulting, with any limited personal history linked to the model sub.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2021This is a geat consise read that compliments the first book. The type ix boat is the primary discussion. Recommend like all new vanguard books.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2022Perfect companion to vol 1. Covers type 9 and late war models.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2016As with part one of these little books a good quick reference!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2013I have been very pleased with and impressed with the quality of Osprey publications. The Vanguard and New Vanguard series are focused on specific weapon systems. Kriegsmarine U-boats 1939-45 (2) provides information on the Type IX, X, XXI and XXIII U-boats, armaments, torpedoes, mines, rockets, foreign submarines used, and midget submarines with illustrations. it is the 2nd volume in the series on Kriegsmarine U-boats.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2016Good for a color guide for the modeler . Supplements other sources .

5.0 out of 5 stars An informative overview.
Bought this after a trip to Germany to see U-boats and should have bought it before. A good introduction that complements Volume 1.

5.0 out of 5 stars La imprescindible segunda parte
Mucha información, excelentemente presentada, e ilustraciones maravillosas. Necesario, sin duda.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kriegsmarine U-Boote 1939 - 1945 vol.2
Bello!
