|Notes on event|
At 11.35 hours on 25 June, U-75 fired a stern torpedo on a steamer of estimated 4000 tons, which had been chased for the last three hours in a south-south westerly direction. The torpedo hit and caused the ship to sink by the stern within four minutes. There were no survivors and no distress signal was sent. Most probably this vessel was the Schie (Master P. Hermsen).
