I have the same quest as you. I have a nice model by Revel of U-99 that a friend built. He is a proffessional model builder, this thing is top notch and is even mounted on oak base with glass cover. Its not the same, I want a 1/72 scale model, preferably of a type IXC. I did purchase a type VII in 1/72 scale from a model store in Flordia, unfortunitly I do not remember the name of the store or company he made the kit. It was some what nice, made in Italy, a resin kit with brass etched parts, extemly hard to build. My kit went flying when I made a fatal mistake that could not be fixed. Go to the model section of the uboat net, they have a listing that has this model. Good luck in your quest. I think I have spent enough money looking for and getting junk or getting good models that are beyound my modeling abilitys.
