I do not actually have photo documentation showing the red anti-fouling, and as a matter of fact, I don\'t remeber ever seeing any color photos of U-boats in dry dock or any others where the paint below the WL is visible. I do have several drawings in Squadron/Signal\'s \"U-Boats in Action\" and other references that suggest it was used. If this was not used, why is it implied in reference drawings? Are these inaccurate?

I have seen a few models with the red anti-fouling, and wanted to explore how accurate this is, and perhaps paint mine similarly, if it was possibly applicable to my prototype. I guess the odds are not in my favor.

I have seen no photographic proof of the red antifouling paint and a bootstripe below the waterline. If you have photos of this I would appreciate you sending me in the right direction. As for the grey, Ask Jeff LaRue, I think he has the RLM number of a paint which is extremely close.
