I too have recently purchased the above kit and I agree that the interior is much simplified. However it should be remembered that this kit is now quite old, dating from the 1970\'s when the demand for accuaracy did not exist - the model buying public being mainly children. Revell\'s recent kit of the Type XXI seems to be a worthwhile investment, existing in three variations, full hull, cutaway w/interior and the Wilhelm Bauer (different conning tower). Not having assembled mine yet I cannot comment as to whether it is a true representation of the type, but it looks like a XXI and that is good enough for me. See also my comments on the Revell U99.
