This is news to me ! If your transmitter is good for both surface and air use you could , when sailing your boat bring down an R/C airplane that is within range . For my subs I use a JR transmitter , it is FM but is surface use only . I am sure if you take this transmitter to a boat show they would not allow you to sail your boat as this could pose a danger to people if your transmitter interfered with an RC plane . Imagine you dive your sub and some RC plane comes down from the sky and hits someone ? This is how it was told to me and I have been sailing RC subs for 18 years now . If you find more information on the transmitter that you would like to use , let us know as I would to find out somemore about it .
