Torpedo loading hatch

Just a quick question -

Can anyone give me a breif description of what the outside (outboard) side of the torpedo loading hatch on a type VII looked like? Did it have hinges on it with no handwheel similar to that of the deck hatch forward of the deck gun on the port side? or did it have a handwheel, etc. I just need general info, I am making up a few sub-deck details (no pun intended), filling the gaps where you can see through the brass photoetched deck on my 32 P type VII.
