TYPE VIIB Hull Coating Color

I have seen various anti-fouling paint schemes on Models of the Type VIIB submarine. Most of the picture I'm using for reference are in black and white. Does anyone know the true color of the anti-foul paint (paint below the water-line)? For example: Black, Red or Dark Gray?
