Mr. Brennan,

You asked if this model was worth buying. The model is a motorized model. Thus many changes were made to make it motorized. I hate models that have this addition. I bought it just to get some detail of the hull for my 4.5 Ft model I am building. Correct me if I am wrong but the IXB had two screws (props) and not one like the model. I hope this is true because the person whom I have taking over the project from had two screws installed on the 4.5 ft replica. Considering he was a naval war veteran I don't think he was wrong here. With this in mind the authentic look of the ixb is reduced. I keep seeing the Revell U-99 model coming up in discussions. Is this a good model to buy?

Chris
