Wolfje,

I have a book that is called "U-boats in the Atlantic" written by Paul Beaver and has, as it states "a collection of German Wartime photographs from the Bundesarchiv, Koblenz" There are 3 pictures in it concerning U-101. 2 of them are from the tower, one showing the faintly visible meeling, one is taken from the Wintergarten looking towards the bow and the last one is from its skipper, Mengersen, leaning on the tower inside(also on the tower). If you are interested a can make copys of the pictures because I don't have scanner(yet).
There is nothing in the book concerning U-96 or U-99.

Kind regards,

Wiljan.

PS. I bought the book on a fleemarket and I don't know if it is still available.
