Hy,
I found today a site dedicated to the U-47 and I discovered it's not so easy to convert Revell's kit into a VVB. Lot of differencies. For example, the upper deck in the 88mm gun area is not bulged, but straight and with two "oval" - sorry, can't find the right word - pieces welded each side to create room for the gunners. Also the coning tower is quite different from what I've seen. Not to mention that U-47 was slightly modified at least two times during it's career. So good luck!
