Type VII A rudder details

Hi, to all, just purchased a Hobbyboss Type VIIA 1/350 model and was dissapointed to find the lower half of the hull is that of a type VIIB complete with integral stern torpedo tube and a pair of rudders.
From the reference material i have access to i understood the type A had a single rudder but i cannnot find any photos of this or schematics/plans. can anyone help? As would like to make the model with a single rudder if this is correct.
