Hello
On the [www.u-boot-hahd.com] forum found the photo with description:
"This excellent photo of U 86, (Obltn. Walter Schug with officers and the
senior helmsman), show the boats metal aerial identification device, recessed in the deck beneath the 88-mm gun.
When the device was raised, a white disc identified the U-Boat to friendly aircraft."
