Kriegsmarine U-Boat Colores and Markings

Some time ago, I became interested in the real color of the submarines coloring and markings.
I decided to conduct my own investigation. This list will be updated as information becomes available.


Deckfarbe Gelb (RAL 1003) - Signal yellow (Training marking)
Deckfarbe Rot (RAL 3011) - Brown-red (Training marking)
Deckfarbe Kaiserrot I (RAL 3020) - Transport Red (Training marking)
Schiffsbodenfarbe III Grau (RAL 5020) - Ocean Blue
Blauschwarz 58/2 (RAL 5026) - Mother-of-pearl night blue
Dunkelgrau 51 (RAL 7000) - Grey Squirrel
Hellgrau 50 (RAL 7001) - Silver-grey
Dunkelgrau 53 (RAL 7016) - Anthracite-grey (always the underwater part of the hull)
Schlickgrau 58 (RAL 7022) - Grey Umber
Dunkelgrau 52 (RAL 7024) - Graphite grey
Blaugrau 58/1 (RAL 7031) - Blue-gray
WeiB 30 (RAL 7035) - Light grey
