Danke für die Info!
Wir haben bereits Kontakt mit Cuxhaven aufgenommen.
Da es bei U-994 nie ein Besatzungstreffen gab, und das Archiv von diesen lebt, existiert dort sehr wenig über dieses U-Boot.
Wir hofften hier jemanden zu finden, der sich mit U-994 bereits auseinandergesetzt hat und Info's über Details aus anderen Quellen besitzt.

Ich habe desweiteren die englischen Aufzeichnungen über den Angriff am 17.07.44.
(Logbuch 333 Sqdrn RAF) im Internet gefunden.Hat hier jemand solche Dokumente übersetzt oder weiß,wie diese zu deuten sind? hier der Abschnitt aus dem Logbuch:

Marstein light. Flew coastwise North.
GSXA 0040 - Sighted K/333. Co. N. H. 50 feet.
GSXA 2050. Steering 300. Hight 50 feet. Sighted visualy
surfaced U-Boat on port bow. Climbed to 600 feet. Taking evasive action. - Main Tower Base (1):"465" Org. 1 Main.
Commenced attack. Opened fire with 4 cannons and 4 MG's from 700 yards at 600 feet. scoring hits along deck of U-Boat and on command tower. Tracked over U-Boat 150°. green to 30° Red and Released two MK XI DC in salve at 50 feet. U-Boat fired on Aircraft with what crew thought was a 37 mm gun in command tower. Aircraft turned to part and saw DC explosions just to part of stern u-Boat a few feet away unable to astate accurate distance. no bombsight used. u-boat continued firing and turned in small circles to part with deck after of command tower under water. Aircraft stayed 10 minutes and then aircraft base. no wreckage seen.

Besonders der Teil mit 150° green/30° red ist mir leider komplett unverständlich.Ist dies der Anflugwinkel?
