I believe the "coc" marking is the manufacturer code on the shell. During the Third Reich, to hide manufacturing locations, the Germans used letter and number codes to identify manufactureres of military material. I have not been able to find the code "coc" listed, but I did find a "coe". Could the letters possibly be corroded or misread? "coe" is the code for Luebecker Maschinenbau-Gesellschaft. I do not know what this company manufactured, but there was a large weapons manufacturer of Berlin-Luebecker Maschinenfabrik in Luebeck so possibly this company could be part of that.
