Thanks Kevin.... I had heard that there was a Walther engine on display
somewhere, but didn't know where.
If I'm ever over there, I'll be sure to visit.
By the way, if anyone cares (!) the Germans were very advanced in hydrogen peroxide applications well before the Allies ever thought of it.
The V1 buzz-bombs used a peroxide-fuelled booster to lift them off the ramp and build speed until the pulse jet cut in. Also, the Messerschmitt Komet used a two part fuel for its rocket engine, one part of which was 70% htdrogen peroxide, known at T-stoff, and the other was, I think, hydrazine hydrate, I think it was called S-stoff. There were elaborate precautions taken when a Komet was refuelled, still yet there were many serious accidents during this dangerous process. The Allies stumbled over a hydrogen peroxide plant in the Hartz mountains when the war was over, about which they knew nothing (location, capacity, process description).
I believe tests were conducted on a peroxide-fuelled torpedo, but I have no information on that application.
