Thanks for your input. The kicker was in the addendum. Guncotton is nitrocellulose, literally cotton treated with nitrating acid mixture. Your description of Guncotton 36 indicates there is no cotton there at all. The mixture is similar to what the Americans call Torpex which is TNT with RDX. RDX is the same as cyclonite or hexogen and I suspect HND (Hexanite) as well.
