RE: At least U 23 had a 2cm twin on the wintergart

If the 2cm A/A gun was used on the deck & 2cm twin on the
"Wintergarten" then the normal standard fittings for the
deck gun would of been removed during a refit. As I said before,
these boats were very small. However, I do think only a very few
did have any addition A/A guns fitted to them later in the war 1943,
because of the increase air menace from RAF aircraft.
There was only six boats (Type II) operating around the Black sea.
