Hi again Andrzej!

I am sorry but I have no further info on this incident.Maby Ricky has??
The only other book that I have,that mentions the fate of U-1020,
is of the official Brittish historian S W Roskill.In his work :
War at Sea.Vol.III.Part 2.Page:292 and 466,where Roskill says that
U-1020 disappeared without a trace N E off Scotland some date in Jan 1945.
Fate unknown.Now Roskill´s book was printed in 1961,and Rohwer&Hümmelchen:
Chronology of War at Sea,2nd revised and expanded edition,is printed in 1992.

But since Rohwer&Hümmelchen says : "U-1020 ......is lost,probably in mid-Jan,
in attack by ONSLAUGHT and a Polish destroyer",;I think it is possible that
he has found additional info in newly opened archives.

I do however personally think though,that the word "probably" implies,
that there are no survivors at all from U-1020,who could verify her fate!
It is of course only my own personal oppinion,since I have no further info!!
