Steve, Steve!

Welding takes place on the inside and on the outside of the pressure hull sections,
and there are at least five fillets in the sections where the metal is relatively thin.
German craftsmanship and engineering expertise was well aware of all factors concerning these techniques, and we can be sure that they were every bit as good as US shipyards.
