The Brits built A Walther boat, not boats. It was a technical exercise,
that worked but was too complicated and VERY expensive to operate.
The advent of functioning nuclear power in the late 40s made the
Walther boat obsolete overnight. These boats were a brilliant technical
solution to a problem that soon ceased to exist.
