You understand exactly what I am refering to. With all due respect to Rainer; He was very helpful to me when I began this avocation with U-Boote. I had a question about the net cutters on my U-47 model by the German Revelle compay and he was exactly correct. I will forever remain envious toward Rainer, since he had the privilage of spending some considerable time aboard U-505. Never-the-less, I understand you have built several U-boat models and I too have the same concept of these rudder support arms. Still, my question remains, why are they absent from U-995? I just ordered the Robbe kit of U-47. What is your opinion of this boat, besides the fact she is a dynamic diver only? I have had experience with r/c aircraft, so my capabilities in terms of craftsmanship are adequate. There is one Craftsman who will build this particular kit for you,(for a price), that recommends a rudder support arm made of brass; since the one with the kit is in his opinion,is a little flimmsy. Thanks for your response and where might I find the illustrations you are referring to? I can't get enough pictures of these most incredible machines.
