Hi Anders,
Agree with everything you said. Just one caveat: Remember Morison wrote with the benefit of hindsight after exhaustive investigative work by a lot of people. He had access to this stuff. When Command at that time started raising the ruckus, they were going on the pilot's report stating that the SC just sort of leisurely steamed over there and threw ONE pattern of DCs and did not seem to hang around long enough to ascertain the results. One lucky hit - unfortunately for Reiner Dirksen and his crew. By the way, his widow Almut was still living in Wilhelmshafen last year. Rgds, RB
