Thanks John, that\'s right and I\'m sure the frequencies I mentioned are correct. Our receivers did not tune much above 550 kcs and in any case at night any frequencies higher than 600 kcs would have been swamped by USA and Canadian Broadcast Stations. As it was they use to break through on 500 kcs when within a couple of days sailing from the coast due to the lack of selectivity in the straight receivers used on merchant ships ( didn\'t have the luxury of a superhet). 73\'s
