I am not Ok. On the pictures in the French book you can clearly see that the door opens to the outside, because the hinges are opened and the door is in the passage.

For the rest, the drawings of type VII are showing clearly the two doors opening by the middle to left and right direction outside.

If you want I can mail you a copy of the drawing.
