No problem, Robert, the answer is quite simple:
Let\'s say you have 2 DP tanks P&S, 1/2 full of oil ea. You transfer all oil incl. emulsified boundary layer from P to S or vice-versa. So S tank is full of oil. Then you fill the P tank to 91% level with seawater. Oil spec. grav. vs. SW = .91.
Voila, equilibrium has been reestablished. Rgds, RB
