I would be extremely interested to see the defence tactics developed by the USN against type XXI\'s. In 1944 I was navigator/tactician of a frigate involved in producing the RN tactics, we had British sub SERAPH which had been modified to make some 13kts submerged and were able to evolve some tactics which might have been of use had the threat developed.
