Was there any Uboat accidents in WW2 that could account for the many unexplained losses? Besides combat was there anything that could contribute to the sinking of a sub? With all these other sub disasters (Kursk being most recent) could a design flaw be at fault for some losses? When looking at the section of this site dealing with unexplained losses, you notice their tends to be many more losses towards the end of the war. Could this be because of the Allies advance coming they were built faster and not properly? Thanks see ya.
