The information I have for the Type IXC on type of batteries that were installed are of the type 44MAL740. Nav Tech Report 310-45 of August 1945 and Nav Tech Mission Europe goes into great detail regarding the type and installation of batteries in this class of boat. The problem is I can not find these report anywhere.

In addition German Instruction Books listed below contain considerable information with regard to installation and operation of these batteries:

Beschreibung und Betriebvorschrift fur die Akkumulatoranlage. (Description and Operation for the Battery System)

Beschriebung und Betriebvorschrift der Batterie U Boat Typ IXC ( Description and operation Instructions of the Battery Submarines Type IXC)

Beschreibung und Betriebvorschrift für die Batterie auf U Booten Bauart IXD und 2. (Description and Operating Instructions for the Battery of Submarine Type IXD ans 2).
