Hello Oxullop,

U-BOATS; The Illustrated History of the Raiders of the Deep by Daiid Miller page 105 discusses detecting a single ship at 20 km (11 nm) and a convoy at about 100 km (54 nm) with the Hydrophones (GHG) Gruppenhorchgerät.
