Underwater stern configuration same as Type XXI as shown at:

Fairwater ((sail)- all masts enclosed in sail.

All topside items like capstans, cleats are reversible.

Outer hull design very similar, fewer limber holes.

Nautilus - first U.S.sub built post WWII.
