Hi Paddy.You must be very careful when buying any Uboatwaffe items, as they are mostly fakes.Especially Bulgarian and Russian.Recently a friend showed me a clock off a Uboat.I told him the dates on it were wrong, as Uboat had been sunk previously, the fakers dont even check their details half the time.THere are a couple of Russian eBay sellers who just happen to have several cigarette cases and cups on every week. You can see engravings are not contemporary with silver plate, just idiots, buyer beware, as the old adage says, good luck, Paul.
