Hi Simon,

Youy should have that information. The basic lay-out is in all the schematics diagrams that I have seen of the Type VII. The book by David Eastwood "Anatomy od a Ship; The Type VII U-Boat has good drawings of the Battery switch room 1 (aft) on page 77. Page 79-80 have drawings of Battery switch room 2 (they call it Battery cells of froward battery room.

I haven't seen any good photos of the battery rooms or even the entrance hatches to them. Good luck...
