In the document "Torpedo G7e Bedienungsvorschrift" there is a chapter
"Versager beim Schießen und deren Ursachen" (Torpedo launch failure and causes)
and it says:

1. Toter Mann, Öffnungshebel nicht gelegt, schwergängig oder
wieder nach vorn geschlagen, Laufstrecke nicht eingestellt.
2. Kurzschluß im Torpedo, Sicherung durchgebrannt.
3. Batterieumschalter steht auf Stellung "L" oder Kontaktflächen
sind oxydiert.
4. Batteriekabel nicht angeschlossen.
5. Luftgefäße nicht, oder nicht voll gefüllt."
"C. Torpedo not running, remains just front of the tube and drifts
1. Dead man, starting lever not pulled, hardly moving or even not
put initialy in the forward position, running distance not set.
2. short-circuit in torpedo installation, safety fuse burned out.
3. Battery switch in the position "L" (charging) or contacts

4. Battery power cable not connected.
