Hi,
to complete your statement, during last phase of charging, the cell temperature
should not exceed 45 deg C. And after reaching cell voltage of value 2,4 V starts
generating hydrogen and oxygen. As you said, these factors require great attention
during last phase of charging. Also there are some external factors, which influence
the charging process - for example you can read about problems in the tropics
- caused by increased evaporation and increased electrolyte temperature - here:
