Hello to all forum members, I'm Emmanuel Dautriat from Brittany, northern France.

I'm interesting in u-boat matter. I recently have the opportunity to visit the engines collection of a friend of my brother. This person own a U-BOAT engine which is properly fitted in a hangar with exhaust system. I saw this engine running last week and it was a great time. Unfortunately the owner do not have any history of this engine which was recovered by him after a long storage outside a factory. He told me that it was used before as an electrical power plant.

The label of the engine is present: MOTOREN WERKE MANNHEIM A 6
TYPE: RHSDG 230 S N° 89010 YEAR 1943 LEISTUNG PS: 225 650 Rpm.

So I take the liberty of adressing my quiry in the forum in case of somebody have any information about the u-boat equipped with this type of engine. Also, I try to know if it is possible to find exactly the u-boat nber equipped with this power plant using archives in germany ? Unfortunatly I do not speak german. I search on the net informations about this engine with no good results at this time.
