I am researching the Royal Navy liaison personnel stationed on Allied ships operating with the RN. The Allied ships were from the Polish, Norwegian, Netherlands, Free French, Yugoslav and Greek navies. Each foreign ship was given a liaison team consisting of a single junior officer and between 2-12 enlisted communications specialists. The junior officer was known as a British Naval Liaison Officer or BNLO, and was usually from the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.

While I have found some published accounts of these liaison officers and documents in various musuems and archives, I would like to have personal accounts of the men who served. Finding these men is difficult as the World War II generation rapidly passes on. However, perhaps the children and grandchildren of these RN personnel have access to memoirs, diaries, letters and photographs showing the liaison teams on foreign ships.
