Hello I really want to get a family tree started, but I was just checking on some info I knew of a family member who drowned, came up with this -

Pointer, drowning
ATKIN, Wilfred, Assistant Steward, RNPS, LT/LX 30938, DOWS

Can anyone help me with this? I dont fully know where to expand on this. I guess the HMS pointer was the name of his ship...i think he drowned close to home (said he could swim) but im unsure on where to go from here.
