My father Harley Karvonen served on the YMS-408 minesweeper in the Pacific during WWII. He recently passed away at age 96. I have gone through his pictures and after picking some that I want to keep, I am left with 80-90 pictures plus a daily diary of his time on ship, including changes in command, etc. I really do not want to commit these pictures to the landfill so I am hoping some family members of those who served with my father may want them.
I am open to any solutions that do not include the landfill...
